This policy describes the current private-test implementation. Developer: Binh Hoang Yen. Final legal review is required before public release.
Data we process
When you choose to submit a problem, Vehi processes the selected problem image, typed or edited text, diagram observations, mathematical models and solutions. Images may contain personal details. Crop out names, faces and school information before sending.
AI processing by OpenAI
After in-app consent, necessary content travels over HTTPS through the Vehi backend to OpenAI for recognition, modeling and solving. Requests use store:false; this does not eliminate all provider retention or abuse-monitoring policies. See https://platform.openai.com/docs/guides/your-data. API keys are never included in the iOS application.
Accounts and purchases
Vehi stores a random guest ID, hashed device identifier, session token hash and, if linked, a Sign in with Apple identifier. We do not request your real name, email or birth date. The backend keeps promotional and purchased balances, transaction IDs, product IDs and a credit ledger. Apple handles payment information.
Diagnostics and reports
Operational data includes tokens, model and prompt versions, latency, estimated API cost and job status. Application logs exclude problem content, images and API keys. Reports include artifact versions and validation status; scene details, solutions or images are included only when selected. Nginx keeps IP addresses and request metadata in separate access logs, rotated for up to 7 days. No behavioral advertising or advertising analytics SDK is used.
Retention
Problem images, content, results and reports are retained for up to 90 days after the last update and purged periodically. Detailed AI usage is kept for up to 90 days. Purchase records and the credit ledger are retained for reconciliation and purchase entitlements; the final financial retention period must be confirmed before release. Vehi backups are kept for 7 days and deletion requests must be reapplied before any restore is served.
Your choices and deletion
Settings offers Delete images and history, which removes learning content and withdraws AI consent, and Delete account, which removes content, invalidates access and unlinks the Apple identifier. Financial records remain under a random identifier for reconciliation. Account deletion can remove access to unused credits. On-device caches use iOS Data Protection and are removed with in-app data deletion. Minimal deletion markers are kept to reapply requests after backup restoration. Individual problems can also be deleted. Do not submit content if you do not consent to third-party AI processing.
Processors and international transfers
OpenAI processes AI requests, Apple handles authentication and purchases, and DigitalOcean hosts the developer-managed backend. Processing may occur outside your country. HTTPS, restricted server file access and authenticated APIs protect transmission and access.
Younger users
Vehi supports grades 6–12, minimizes personal information and does not target advertising. Minors should use it with appropriate parent or guardian guidance and consent. Purchases respect Apple parental controls and Ask to Buy where available. Do not submit other people’s private data.
